The following shows where our group decided to place the issues:
 Physical Space in the HS: Climate, Behavior, Supervision, Intermingling, Jr. High ID
 Social and Emotional Issues: Climate, Behavior, Supervision
 Staffing Availability: Logistics
 Safety of Students: Climate, Behavior, Supervision, Intermingling
 Cost: Logistics
 Scheduling/Curriculum: Logistics
 Sports/H.S. Activities: Supervision, Intermingling

Peer pressure, varying levels of maturity

Events that bring together that 7/8 and 9-12 students (homecoming, dances, spirit week) we need to foster being separate but together

Student confidence & motivation, how will they be affected by the move?

Having teacher-student advisory time or student mentoring, students have more leadership opportunities

How will move affect special education and gifted populations, will there be a change in identity, servicing, opportunities, etc.

Student (and teacher?) reactions to any items on our lists

JR High would need to have a student government of their own, possibly a seat on the hs government for representation









The goal of the process we have begun includes the following:
o Look at concerns we have
o What will/ will not work
o Positive/Negative aspects
o Look at research to see what popular theories there are
o Look at background data to generate streams of thought
o Discover other alternatives.
